Birds in Backyards
Find out about our native birds, how you can attract them to your garden and what plants you should grow. Light refreshments provided.

Join Moorooka Greening in planting native trees to provide food for native fauna. See the difference they’re making to your neighbourhood. Join in and be part of the action.

WaterWise Schools Program
WaterWise and Healthy Waterway education is taking place in schools within the Oxley Creek Catchment.
The program is free of charge and involves:
• expert and highly participatory water education lessons
• field trips to local waterway environments
• a water saving competition
• the ‘WaterWise Show’
• WaterWise website orientation.
Tues 4 Tour of the Greenbank Military Training Area
Take a free guided bus tour of the Greenbank Military Training Area (normally out of bounds to the general public). See the only remaining large area of pristine bushland in the Oxley Creek Catchment.

Catchment Tour
Take a free guided bus tour of: Willawong Waste Facility, Pallara Parklands, and Forest Lake.

Yesterday's Liability, Tomorrow's Asset: Remediating the Willawong Waste Facility. Inspect the remediation work and see the wetland, riparian and bushland habitats which are being conserved and enhanced. The biological monitoring program will feature in the tour. Look at how residential design can protect our natural environmental assets at Forest Lake.

The Oxley Chelmer History Group will take you on a short tour of historic sites on Oxley Creek between Graceville and Oxley. Bring own car and refreshments.

Join the Friends of Spring Mountain Bushcare Group, view their wetland restoration work, help plant some new trees and enjoy a sausage sizzle.

Thurs 13 Catchment Tour
Take a free guided bus tour of: Oxley Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant, Cliveden Ave Reserve, and Lockwood Whitco. Come and learn about what happens to our wastewater once it leaves the sink through a tour of the Wastewater Treatment Plant. Also, journey to Cliveden Avenue Reserve to see volunteer efforts on wetland and creek bank revegetation projects.
